As a kid on visits to Frankenmuth, I always remembered going to the arcade and afterwords going to a shop where they would make Fudge & Toffee right in front of you.  Pouring it out of big steaming copper vats as big as bathtubs (or so they seemed) onto large slab tables and cutting it into blocks once it hardened.  It always stuck with me as a quasi magical moment in my childhood and the older I got, I could never really remember if this actually happened or if it was just a great dream.
