Just a short drive from Sandusky is the bedroom community of Vermilion. Just like Sandusky, it sits right on the shores of Lake Erie and the vibe of easy living and relaxation permeates the air.
Even though you've only traveled a few miles up the road from Sandusky to Vermilion, the moment you walk in, you’ll feel like you traveled a few decades back in time. Looking like a time capsule, this old school soda fountain serves up all the classic Shakes, Malts, Burgers and many other items from a bygone era.
The kids meals are big enough to curb their hunger for hours. Scoop & Munchie had the Grilled Cheese, which they loved because of the "cotton soft bread" (their words not mine) while
Scoop and Sydney had Hot Dogs and Fries. Mj ordered the Philly Steak Sandwich and did not allow me to get a photo as he inhaled it quicker than I could pull my phone out! I spotted a blast from my childhood years, a fried bologna sandwich! Stacked with several large cuts of bologna, lettuce, onions, pickles and mustard, this sandwich was so good, the only thing missing was the black & white console TV I used to watch while eating these as a youngster.
